Townsville Brolga Brass is our training band and the starting point for many of the players who eventually move into Townsville Brass. It’s a welcoming group with a great mix of developing musicians, returning players, and people who simply enjoy making music in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Even though it’s a training ensemble, Brolga Brass has a strong identity of its own. The band performs regularly around the Townsville region and often joins forces with Townsville Brass for combined events and community performances. Many of our long‑term members began their journey here, building skills, confidence, and friendships along the way.
Brolga Brass continues to be an important part of our musical community, offering a fun and encouraging environment for brass and percussion players who want to grow, learn, and enjoy playing together.
